Show BROTHERS DROWN IN EACH OTHER'S ARMS ROCH ESTER, Ind., Jan. 5. The two sons of Mrs. Charles Patterson of Akron, Ak-ron, Ind.. were drowned while skating on the ice of a lake near Akron. The boys were 8 and 12 years old. The younger broke through the ice and his screams for help Vere heard by his brother, skating a few rods away. The older boy rushed to the rescue. In leaning over the edge of the hole he slipped and fell tn. He managed to catch hold of his brother, but was unable una-ble to get him. out of the water. Locked In eacn other's embrace they sank. The mother, when told that her boys were drowned, became hysterical, and It Is feared that she will die of the shock. Mrs. Patterson Is the proprietor of a hotel and livery barn in Akron. |
