Show WILL TAKE UP TEE DRAFTING OF PLAYERS Monday a baseball meeting will be held in Cincinnati which is the most important one since the national agreement agree-ment has been In force. At that time the national commission ana the national na-tional board of arbitration will meet to discuss needed changes in the agreement agree-ment under Which all clubs in organised baseball are- now operating. The minor leagues want the price of drafting raised from $750 to 1500 and a club limited to losing only one player .by the draft. They agree not to make a sale until after the drafting period is over and nothing Is to be paid for the drafted player until the major league club shall have had a chance, to try him out. The National league has approved these changes and the American league has not. but this does not mean that the American league will precipitate a baseball war if It finds the National allied al-lied with the minor leagues. |
