The young man spent Sunday evening with friends who live near Liberty park, end took the last car for home. This car was bound for the .barn, and McMaster, leaving it at cond East and First South street, rirted to walk to the home of his father, Judge Alexander McMaster, 28 South Ninth East street - When between Fourth and Fifth East streets on First South a man stepped from the shadows of the trees and or- dered the youth to put tip his hands - Quickly, or he would be severely dealt with. The command was Instantly obeyed, and the robber searched Mc-. Mc-. Master's pockets, finding; no money, but . taking a silver watch and solid gold chain. ' The robber exhibited no revolver or other weapon. He was a man of medium me-dium height and heavy set. He wore an overcoat with the collar turned up about his ears, and had a soldier cap. He was not masked: - As soon as he had completed his search of the pockets of his victim, the robber commanded him to go on up the Mtreet. and ordered him to not look around for fear of death. A moment later the fellow ran across the street and when near the corner, was joined by another man, similarly clad, and who also wore a soldier cap. -- As soon as McMaster reached his home he telephoned the facts to the Police Po-lice department, and the detectives were given descriptions of the men. |
