Show WOMEN THWARTED AN ANTI-GAJ1ING MAYOR INDIANAPOLIS. Ind.. Deo, 6v-SocIaJ clubs of Noblesvllle are greatly incensed in-censed over the course of the Mayor of that city, who has ruled against gambling gam-bling even in so mild a form as prise giving at card parties. To such an extent was this custom observed that a game, robbed of the excitement Induced by an attractive prise, was too tame, and as a consequence conse-quence the displeasure of the clubs has descended upon the head of the Mayor. Law abiding citizens are these women, wo-men, certainly yet they have learned the triok of evading the Mayor's ordinance, ordi-nance, as was recently shown by one woman who did not bestow the prizes won at her card party, but quietly made presents of them to the winners a day or two afterward.
