Show PASTOR WAGNER IS GIVEN AN OVATION NEW YORK, Dec. 6. Pastor Charles Wagner, author of "The Simple Life," sailed for France on the fast French liner La Sovole. - In the dining saloon of the ship he held an Informal reception for an hour, and did not shake the last hand until the third cry of "All off who are going go-ing off!'' had sounded, the lines connecting connect-ing the ocean grayhound to her pier had been cast off, and the gangplank was about to be lowered. Just before the steamer sailed Pastor Wagner announced to his publisher the titles of two new books one to be called "How I Got the Idea of Simplicity," which Is to contain the more Important lectures delivered by him in America: the other to be called "The Simple Life in America." Amer-ica." which Is to contain his impressions of the United States, its Institutions, and its people. The first book will be published pub-lished immediately the second not until next autumn. |
