A- bridal pair spent yesterday in Pittsburg and last night departed for the Pacific coast. They were on their wedding trip, and will never come back, for fate and their inclinations will take them far out into the Pacific among the lepers In the Sandwich islands. The pair were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Schwartz. They came from Berlin and were married before sailing for America. Mr' Schwartz has long been interested in mission work. He had heard of the lepers in the colony at Molokal, in the Sandwich islands, and had long desired to go among them and render them what aid Is possible. His bride knew the consequences attaching at-taching to such an expedition, but she followed her husband and will give to him the support of which she is capable. |
