In the afternoon Miss Florence Stevenson became the bride of John Van Brunt of Hackensack, N. J. Jusfat noon the marriage was solemnized sol-emnized of Miss Irene J. Shettler and Francis Reld Allen, and in the evening at 8 o'clock Miss Grace Richards and Mr. Charles Irvine Sturrock were wedded. wed-ded. Each affair was a quiet one, with only the nearest relatives present. The Rev. Dean Eddie performed the ceremony cere-mony uniting Miss Stevenson and Mr. Van Brunt. The groom will leave at once for New York, to be Joined later by Mrs. Van Brunt, who is just recovering recover-ing from a severe illness, when she Is able to travel. Mr. and Mrs. Van Brunt will be at home in Hackensack after July 1st. The marriage of Miss Shettler Shet-tler and Mr. Allen was solemnized in the Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Allen will be at home after April loth .at 381 J street. Following the ceremony which united Miss Grace Richards and Charles Irvine Sturrook in marriage a reception was held when a host of the couple's friends called to greet bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. Sturrock will live at 910 West Second South street. MRS. COUPE and Miss Coupe of California Cal-ifornia were the guests of honor at an elaborate dinner given at the Alta club last night by Mr. Franz Jungk. The other guests were Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Fabian, Mr. and Mrs. Justus Jungk. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Vollmer, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. JaWs, Mrs. Charles Head, Miss Stella Fabian. Carl Fabian. MRS. O. J. SALISBURY and Miss Stella Salisbury left this morning for California. MRS. ERNEST A. GREENWOOD gave a luncheon yesterday in honor of Mrs. Thayer of Chicago. THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH will give a dancing party at Chrlstensen's hall tomorrow night. MR. AND MRS. DALLAS will entertain enter-tain at cards this evening. THE MARRIAGE of William Wilkinson Wilkin-son and Miss Kate Mllford at Evan-ston, Evan-ston, Wyo., on May 5th last by the Rev. Father Casey has been announced. MRS. HUGH L. THOMAS, Second and P streets, entertained yesterday afternoon af-ternoon at cards in honor of her guest, Mrs. Varse of Cleveland, O. Prizes were won by Mrs. William Igleheart, Mrs. David S. Murray, Mrs. Elliott Kelly and Mrs. William H. Bird. |
