"RAILROAD DAY" WILL DE GALA TIME M. L. Requa, president and general manager man-ager of the Nevada Northern, haa returned from Ely, Nev. He- reports the road practically practi-cally finished and' will be In tbe besf ot shape for tbe "get - acquainted" excursion being arranged by Secretary , Harris of the Commercial club. This will leave Salt Lake the 2Sth of September and arrive In Ely for tbe opening of the route into that point. Elaborate preparations are daily being completed by the citizens of Ely for "railroad day." A grand parade by tbe mlnera, citizens citi-zens and bands will march through tbe principal prin-cipal streets and will finally terminate at a large platform, where speeches will be given by prominent Westerners upon tbe rrowth of the lntermountaln section. The e,ire town will be thrown erpen and a general good time will be accorded to all. A program of sports and races will be held In the afternoon and a dance In tbe evening. Fireworks and firewater will also enter largely Into due consideration.
