Show FIFTEEN DAYS' HARD LABOR IS IMPOSED G. S. Miller, the hack driver who was arrested last night on the charge of using abusive language, in front o( the Wilson hotel in connection with the arrest of R. S. Webb, who was arrested ar-rested on the charge of having assaulted and beaten A. Fred Wey of the Wilson, appeared before Judge Whitaker this morning and entered a plea of guilty to the charge. The court promptly imposed a jail sentence of fifteen days at hard labor. Friends of Miller were hard at work at noon trying to get the sentence changed to a cash fine. Webb was given until Monday in which to entehis plea. |
