Show RECEIVE REPORTS OF LOCAL LABOR UNIONS Several reports on labor organizations organiza-tions were received by the Federation ft Labor last niht. Tho Sheet Metal Workers reported that all but three firms had granted their request for an ncrease .of five cents per hour. The three firms which have failed to grant (he request are alleged to be the Utah Iinf & Smelter company, the Salt Lake lardware company and the "Western eating company. As a result of their failure -to meet the demands twenty- Ifive men are now locked out of these shops. The Brewery Workers' union reported report-ed that union labels were now placed on all beer in this ci The Iron Moulders reported that all but three pwhops in the city are now considered lir. The three shops designated as ni??yr are the Salt Lake Engineering j r works, Silver Brothers foundry and ' Davis Si Howe. E. J. Gregory, a member of the Ty-, Ty-, pographical union, was appointed as a member of the arbitration committee of the Federation of Labor. |
