Show DINNER GIVEN L N. SULLIVAN "Man Who Fat Goldfield on the Map" Guest of Honor at Henry Peery's Spread at Commercial Club. A representative gathering of Salt Lake business men gathered around the banquet board at the Commercial club last night, upon invitation of D. H. -Peery,' in honor of "Larry" M. 8ullivan, "the man who put Goldfield on the map." The affair was stripped of formalities, and such a spread of good things has rarely been seen in Bait Lake. The tables were elaborately elabor-ately dressed in roses, carnations and freenery. and the scene formed a most eantifol- picture. About one hundred persons werepresent. Judge C. C. Goodwin was toastmas-ter, toastmas-ter, - and as Nevada 's men and mines were the principal topics of discussion and felicitation, the veteran journalist who presides over the editorial columns Of TH 1 TELEGRAM, being an old-time old-time Comstocker himself, was thoroughly thor-oughly at home and in his happiest vein. ' Mr. Sullivan spoke rriefly in appreciation appre-ciation of the reception given him and the courtesy of his host. " "The speakers of ' the -evening1' were R. W. Sloan, former Senator Frank J. Cannon, David Keith, D, O. Dunbar E. B. Critehlow, William- Irfeheart, Ed Loose, Fisher Harris and J. E. Clinton. A standing toast to. the guest of honor was drunk in conclusion. .
