LOOKING TOWARD STOCKTON. Another powerful corporation Is nibbling at some of the mining propositions in the Stockton district, it Is said, and some tort of a scheme is on foot to corral a great deal of mineral territory in that district. Already some of the large mining min-ing companies have been approached for a price on the properties that have been developed Into good producers, and it is said that after some of the smaller companies com-panies now operating, the Buhl-Klmberly holdings in the great Honerlne mine will be tied up for this company that proposes to incorporate all of the best ground in that district. ' Louis A: Jeffs has been mentioned In connection with the new concern that proposes to Invade that field, and ,when approached on the subject he said that he found the Stockton district a most Interesting Inter-esting mineral country, but that Just what his mission was in that field he was not prepared to discuss at this hour.
