Tha weather weath-er bureau reports show that the cold ware which has swept the entire coun- try east of the Rocky mountains reached its culminating point In the Atlantic coast States last night, and the temperature la now moderating all along tha line except In the Southern States. There It Is very cold generally, but Is expected to be some warmer tomorrow. to-morrow. Through the South the mercury mer-cury ranged from 2 degrees above at Atlanta to 14 above at Mobile. In Florida Flor-ida the temperature fell to it above at Jackson villa. According to the weather officials the weather during the past twentyi-four hours has been the coldest cf the sea-aon sea-aon In moat sections of the country. In this vicinity four degrees above sero was reached at 7 o'clock this morning, but the mercury is now going up. Temperatures Tem-peratures close to sero were experienced during the last twenty-four hours from Virginia northward to western New York, where the mercury sank to 8 degrees de-grees below zero. Advancing eastward over. the middle Mississippi valley is an area of low pressure and decidedly warmer weather, weath-er, attended thus far by high shifting winds and light snow which has fallen in Iowa, Illinois and the region of the -ptern lakes.
