Show OPENING OF RESERVATION Senate Committee Kills Provision for Extending Extend-ing Time. WASHINGTON, Feb. 14.-The sut committee of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs has completed the Indian In-dian appropriation bill and it will be submitted probably today to the full Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. The bill as passed by the House Is materially ma-terially amended by the sub-committee, which recommended a large number of appropriations, many of which have been In former Indian bills as reported, but have not passed both houses. The Senate committee eliminated the House provision extending the time for opening the unallotted lands to public entry on the Uintah reservation in Utah, which had been fixed by law for March 10, 1905. The Senate committee, however, prescribed conditions under which the lands shall be allotted. |
