The bill Is most stringent, granting almost al-most unlimited powers to the commission to pass on rates, questions affecting employers em-ployers and employees and salaries to be paid employees. The board is given authority au-thority to make rates for the railroads, have general supervision of sleeping car companies; In fact, everything concerned In the operation of railways coming under un-der the supervision of the commission, which shall consist of three persons to be named by the Governor, later to be elected elect-ed by the people. Kaeh of the commissioners commis-sioners Is to .receive a salary of HonO a year. Heavy .penalties are provided for any violation on the part of the railway companies. |
