Show THREE BILLS PASSED AT EVENING SESSION; TRESPASS LAW WINS OUT. Maughan's H. .B. No. 106 was passed at the evening session Monday after a lengthy discussion. The bill makes It a misdemeanor to leave a gate open, to leave bars down, or to out wire fences without repairing the damage. The punishment pun-ishment under the present law Is merely a fine of 16, and this Is not held to be sufficient, suf-ficient, as frequently much damage is done by carelessness. Kuchler was the only man brave enough to speak against the bill, and he pleaded for the Innocent city people who went driving in the country and unknowingly-left unknowingly-left gates open. His plea failed, and the bill passed with Cromar, Dailey. Kuchler, Pancake and Hull voting against it. H. B. No. 78. which' changes the word "defendant" to "judgment debtors" in the present law relating to the docketing of Judgments, was passed. H. B. No. 88. relating to the proceedings in supplementary to executions, was also passed. |
