Show SIXTY DOLLARS OR SIXTY DAYS f OR LEROY C. E. le Roy, who was arrested at Garfield Gar-field during last week on a charge of petty pet-ty larceny, and who admitted the theft of six blankets valued at $14.50 from Charles J. Cole, a fellow laborer, was sentenced by Judge Dlehl this morning. The sentence was that Le Rov pay a fine of $00 or serve sixty days in the county coun-ty jail. Lp Roy is alleged to have stolen the blankets of Cole, who is a working man employed at the new smelters. The other employees are said to have been so incensed in-censed at the theft that they were willing to start a lynching bee. Le Rov claimed that he did not steal the blankets, but that he pleaded guilty "JuRt to save any further trouble over the matter." |
