Show PRIDE OF UTAH'S BEST LOWERED TO COLORADO fwo bullets, known on the gridiron as Nordenholt, fullback, and Krueger, left end, bored holes In the University of Utah football team's line Saturday on Cummings field and brought victory to Golden School of Mines team by a score of 22 to 0. - JTtah played a greater game in every way than It did against the Boulderites. In the defensive Utah did well, but ' in making a hole In Golden's line to carry the ball through, it failed. Only three fumbles were made in the entire game and two of these were made by Capt. Peterson and one was made by Golden. Circled Utah's End. Golden circled Utah's ends repeatedly for good gains. Anderson and Pitt were there each time, but too late to prevent a gain. Krueger, Golden's left tackle, was only contented to lay down when a half-dosen half-dosen men were riding him down the flpd. Time and Benin Hovt. Golden's quarterback, could be heard saying as he passed the ball to Krueger: "Rore "em. you old bull. Get busy." On account of the failure of the Utah line to hold the Miners back, Emens, the Miners' captain, broke through and blocked two of Bennlon's kicks. The University was well represented with rooters, who howled their support. Fully 3'XJ0 persons were present at the game. Synopsis of Game. Capt. Peterson won the toss and chose to receive the kick-off. Emens kicked off for the Miners and Pitt ran the ball back to Utah's forty-five yard line. Russell and Peterson then made gains, but Herbst failed to gain on a quarterback run and the ball went over to the Miners. Mi-ners. Lannon und Nordenholt made five yards in two plunges. On a tackle buck Krueger went around Utah's right end for fifteen yards, placing the ball within three yards of goal. Then Nordenholt got busy and shot through the center for the first touchdown. Emens failed to kick goal and the score stood 6 to 0. Nordenholt caught Bennion's kick and carried it to tho twenty-yard line. The Miners gradually forced the ball down the field to Utah's fifteen-yard line, where both sides fought for twelve straight downs. Bennion then punted to Lannon and the latter was downed by Pitt in th middle of the field. The half endrd with the hull In possession of the visitors and on Utah's forty-yard line. Kicked Over Goal Posts. Bennion opened the second half by kicking over the goal posts. The Miners then kicked from the twenty-five-yard line. For twice kicking off sides, the ball was given to Utah on the thlrtv-five-yard line. The Miners worked the Utah team down the field and Krueger ran around the end for a touchdown. Hamberger kicked goal, making the score 11 to 0. Nordenholt then carried Bennion's kick-off kick-off to the thirty-yard line and Krueger and NorUenholt were again the star players play-ers to push Utah down the field. Hoyt made ten yards by a quarterback run and Nordenholt again ploughed through the center for a touchdown. Hamberger failed to kick goal. The score stood 16 to 0. Within four minutes of the end of the half Krueger again went through the line for a touchdown and Hamberger kicked goal. The line-up: Golden. U. of T.
