Show MISS MORRIS DIES; DAUGHTER Of MAYOR Miss Rebecca V. Morris, 13 years old, daughter of Mayor Richard P. Morris, died last night at the Latter-day Saints' hospital after two weeks' illness of typhoid. ty-phoid. Death was entirely unexpected, as the condition of the young patient was considered most satisfactory until a few hours before her death. Miss Morris became a patient at the hospital November 4, and wai operated on for appendicitis. She rallied satisfactorily satis-factorily and her physicians, family and friends were optimistic as to the outcome out-come of the ctise. One week later typhoid ty-phoid developed and. weakened as she was by the operation, her system was unable to withstand the disease and throw it off. She apparently rallied from the effects of the later developed disease and her friends were most hopeful hope-ful until a short time before her death, when she suffered a relapse from which she could not rally. All of the members of the family were with Miss Morris at the time of her death. For several hours before the end she was unconscious. Miss Morris was a member of the graduating class of the Lafayette school and was most popular with her associates. asso-ciates. She possessed unusual musical talent, and she and the members of her family had planned a course of special training along musical lines for her. |
