Show I N. ELLIOTT IS DEAD AT AURORA Well-Known Salt - Lake Han Succumbs While in the East. Word was received here this morning ! that I. M. Elliott, who had been a Vesl-dent Vesl-dent of the city for eight or more years, had died this morning at Aurora. 111., of a chronic complaint from which he had suffered for several years. Elliott was well known here, and was Interested Inter-ested In mining properties here and at Ely, Nev. Ie went to Chicago two weeks ago for special treatment, and made his home in the suburb of Aurora. Au-rora. Elliott was prominently identified with the Deseret Agricultural and Manufacturing Man-ufacturing society, conducting the State fairs, and was well known locally as an expert horticulturist and nurseryman. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. A. H. Mellinger, Kalona, la.; Mrs. Richard Sinis, Fay. Nev.; Mrs. P. M. Oaterhaut, Vancouver Island, B. C, and a married son and daughter at Tama, Iowa. Elliott was a prominent member of the local G. A. R. and prior to coming to Utah held several Government positions posi-tions in Iowa. His wife died here two years ago. While living here Mr. Elliott Elli-ott made his home with the family of C. A. Flood, 544 East First South street. A son, Charles, is In the mining business at Fay. The body will be brought here for burial. |
