Show MRS. PAUL GETS ANOTHER CHANCE Supreme Court Reverses Damage Case of Several Sev-eral Years' Standing. In the case of Louisa B. Paul against the Salt Lake City Railroad company, the Supreme court today reversed the Judgment of the lower court and ordered or-dered a new trial. Mrs. Paul asked for Judgment against the defendant company for the sum of J51S2.50 as damages for Injuries received while attempting to alight from one of the company's cars" several years ago. The accident happened on B street, between be-tween Fourth and Fifth streets. The evidence showed that the car had passd the point where the plaintiff wished to get off and that she attempted attempt-ed to alight before the car had been brought ot a standstill, and was thereby thrown to the ground and Injured. A new trial is now granted to plaintiff on the ground that the lower court erred I nits Instructions, in that It Instructed In-structed the Jufy that the action of the plaintiff before the car was stepped was contributory negligence and she could not recover damages. |
