Show 1 THEATERS "Her Only Crime" opens at the Grand theater tonight for three nights and Wednesday matinee. It Is one of the melodramas of the thrilling type that pleases the patrons of the Grand. The celebrated "Kilties" band and the clan Johnstone troupe entertained packed houses at the Grand yesterday afternoon and night. Instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers were all repeatedly encored. The band gave a very capable rendition of a number of standard selections. . . "When Knighthood was in Flower" will be given for the first time at the Salt Lake theater tooight, with Roselle Knott in the leading role. The engagement is for two nights only. "The College Widow." hailed as the beet of George Ado's productions, conies to the Salt Luke theater Thanksgiving matinee, to continue the remainder of the week. Seats go on sale tomorrow. If you fail to be at the performance at the Lyric the present week It will be because be-cause you do not know a good thing when it is offered to you. "The Tiger Liiies" Is the best thing that the Lyric has offered since it opened its doors to the public several months ago. Two burlesque skits are offered, "A Temporary Hjs-band" Hjs-band" and "The King of the Coffee Fiends." In both there is somo clever character work, the chorus is fair to look upon and pleasing to listen to. while scenery and costumes are above the average. Richy W. Craig. In the latter piece a stunt new to Salt Lake is introduced which must be seen to be appreciated. The vaudeville part of the programme Is extra good, especially espe-cially of the work of Leven and Cross, Cunningham and Lord, premier dancers, Ezrier and Webb. In "The Actress ard the Maid." and Richy W. Craig in "Me and My Partner" make up one of the strongest olios seen in Salt Lake for a long time. The biil will run until Friday night with a special Thanksgiving matinee. |
