Fraternity Rules Are Recommended t Adoption of rules that at will permit earlier rushing by Unive University ity of Utah fraternities was recommended in a report released Friday b by President George Thomas and a special committee committee com corn which has been studying the problem Under the present t rules rushing Is deferred until students have completed com com- completed 30 credit hours of freshman work which is the equivalent of two quarters' quarters work The report does not recommend a definite date on which rushing should begin Other recommendations include that all fraternities employ tutus tutors to give students counsel In their studies that fraternity books be audited regularly and organizations grouped according to financial status that graduation be withheld from students delinquent in board and room a school tive pa pass s on the qualifications of all house matrons that no organization build or lease a home without consulting con suiting a n representative of cf the school The and ity councils will probably consider the report next fall
