Show 'ANNUAL PTA RiEEI i TO FEATURE REGIONAL SPEAKER i. . - ' Highlight of the 24th annual convention of the Utah Congress I of Parents and Teachers April 30 and May 1 at the University of Utah will be an address by Mrs. Newton P. Leonard, vice-president from Region I national congress, it was learned from association officers Mondayr Mrs. Leonard, former president of the Rhode Island congress, has been active in parent-teacher work since 1930, and presently is trustee of the endowment fund of the national congress. After registration at 9 a. m., April 30, the first general session will be conducted by Mrs. Charles L. Walker, state P-T A president. A business session will be followed fol-lowed by the president's report. After introduction of guests during dur-ing the second general session, Mrs. Leonard will offer her address ad-dress on "Expanding the Role of P-T A." At a banquet session at 6:30 p. m. in the Union building, Glenn E. Snow, St. George, president of the National Education Assn., will speak on "Education Today." Outstanding event of the fourth session will be a symposium on "School Education." |
