Show Joan Davis and Jack i Haley Star In Georg White's Scandals" Top comedy favorites, Joan Davi and Jack Haley, are tarred in RKO Radio's glittering new filmusical, "George White's Scan- dais," with Gene Kruppa and his band taking care of the music. Riotous comedy, many new musical mus-ical numbers and beautiful girl ensembles feature the show. Miss Davis and Haley play star comics in the film; Philip Terry, dance director of "The Scandals", and a pretty dancer, Martha Hol-liday, Hol-liday, carry on another romance. Standouts on the musical side include Jack Yellen's and Sammy Fain's "I Wake up in -the Morning Morn-ing and It's You," sung by Miss Davis and Haley; "Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries," by. Lew Brown and Ray Henderson, sung by Beverly Wills, young daughter daugh-ter of Miss Davis; a Krupa specialty spec-ialty number with ballet by Miss Holliday, and many others. Also, an electric organ virtuoso by Ethel Eth-el Smith, a duet with Kruppa, and a burlesque number by Miss Davis Dav-is and Haley. Additional supporting support-ing players number more than a hundred. "George White's Scandals" is said to be one of the most impressive impres-sive offerings of the current usea-son usea-son as an example of care-free entertainment.
