Show CITY COUNCIL NAMES NEW DEPT. HEADS Changes Made In Several Departments; Others Retained In Positions Several appointments were made by the city mayor and members of the new city council at the first meeting of the group, Monday evening, following formal installation instal-lation of the officers Monday at noon. Claude Hill was appointed streets and walk supervisor and Reed Rigtrup, supervisor of the waterworks. Bert Brown was appointed ap-pointed custodian of the fire hall. H. M. Weight was reappointed city chief of police with Walter Anderson, city marshall. Another member of the police department is to be selected. Ruel Averett was reappointed health officer. Ernest Harmer was reappointed city pasture custodian, and the city electricians, Leonard Taylor, Tay-lor, Lee Davis and Harmer Ne-beker, Ne-beker, were also reappointed, as were Bert Rowland and Art Oakley Oak-ley at the city power house. Glen Sumsion was named city attorney attor-ney and Dr. G. B. Orton, city physician.-- " .. Gogar-ty; Gogar-ty; waterworks irrigation and sewer, Dalton, Harry Penningon and Averett; electric lights and fire hall, Ed Johnson, Pennington, and Gogarty; police, Mayor Boy-er, Boy-er, Gogarty and Pennington; health, Johnson, Averett, the city physician and city police; cemetery, ceme-tery, Gogarty, Penntrngton and Dalton; streets and walks, Gogarty, Gogar-ty, Johnson and Averet; Bartholomew Barthol-omew power and waterworks project, pro-ject, Pennington, Johnson, Averett Aver-ett and Dalton; city pasture, Dalton Dal-ton and Pennington; printing and law, Pennington and Glenn Hansen. |
