'RUSSIAN ARMIES STRUCK IN TIME While the co-ordination of Anglo-American and Russian offensives offen-sives against Germany may ont have been all that a military strategist stra-tegist would desire, it is interesting interest-ing to note that General Eisenhower Eisen-hower says the Russians gave freely all the cooperation essential to victory. The coordination between be-tween the two commands, however, how-ever, it is pointed out by James M. Long, A. P. Press correspondent in Paris, was limited to essentials. The newspaper man says that after the Germans Ardeenes breakthrough had been beaten and Gen. Eisenhower was gathering power for his blow to smash the Roer river line, there were weeks of tension at headquarters because of the approach of spring thaws on the Polish plains which might enable the Germans to risk large-scale large-scale troop transfers to the Western West-ern ' Front.
