Show RELATIVES GET WORD OF SOLDIER'S DEATH Pvt. Russell M. Johnson, Son Of Clair Johnson, Died Of Wounds On Luzon, May 7 Relatives here received word Monday evening of the death of Pvt. Russell M. Johnson, 18, son of Clair and the late Alice Packard Pack-ard Johnson, who died of wounds suffered in action on Luzon, on May 7. His father was music teacher at the high school for several years, and is now residing at Ogden. Russell left for training at Camp Roberts, Calif., in September, Septem-ber, 1944, and for overseas duty on Jan. 1, 1945. He was serving with the infantry. Survivors include his father, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Johnson, J. A. Packard, Springville; Spring-ville; his stepmother and three brothers and sisters, Allan, Aleen and Lou Johnson, Ogden. |
