Show BIG DEMAND FOR TEACHERS SEEN BY BYU PROFESSOR Many more calls are being received re-ceived for teachers at the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university teacher placement bureau than the bureau can fill, Prof. Edgar M. Jenson, placement bureau director, reports. While the present demand is principally for those trained to teach in the elementary grades, graduates seeking to teach in secondary sec-ondary schools are still in , demand, de-mand, particularly in such specialized spec-ialized fields as music and manual manu-al art training, Prof. Jenson said. All indications point to a "very consistant call" for teachers next spring and for several years to come, according to Prof. Jenson, who cited the few teachers trained during the war and the number of instructors now teaching on special spec-ial permits as factors contributing to that belief. |
