Show (Personal ... j Boyer Jarvis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Jarvis of Mesa, Arizona, is spending the summer with his aunt, Miss Mary Boyer. He recently graduated from college col-lege in Tucson, Arizona. Mrs. Lillian Huntington has returned re-turned home from a nine-months stay in California. She was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gardner and also visited her sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. E. G. Hughes at Long Beach and Mrs. John G'. Knox at San Gabriel. Prior to her leaving, leav-ing, a group including Mr. and Mrs. John Sargent, Dr. and Mrs.-Mark Mrs.-Mark Lacey, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Roach and Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Farnsworth, entertained at dinner in her honor. Mrs. Ivan Child has rexurned from a visit in Auburn, Cal., where she attended the dance revue conducted con-ducted by her daughter, Mij3. Tess Tyler, at Placer College. Mrs. Child was later joined by Mr. Child and their daughter Marie, and they visited friends in Oakland Oak-land and Berkeley, also at Pittsburg, Pitts-burg, with the J. F. Wilkin family fam-ily who formerly resided in this city, i They were accompanied home by Mrs. Tyler's son Wendell, who will spend the summer months in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. David R. Thomas" and daughter of Ogden and Mrs. Annie McConnell of Bingham visited visit-ed recently with Mrs. James Stevenson Stev-enson and other relatives and friends in Springville. Miss Emma Ullock left last week to attend summer school in Chicago, 111. She will also play professional Softball in that city during the summer months. She has been teaching in high school in Salt Lake Cityjduring the past year. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Childs have returned from an enjoyable week's vacation trip to Cedar Breaks, the Navajo lake, Zion Park, and the Bryce and Grand Canyons. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Boyer and children have gone on a vacation vaca-tion trip to Denver, Colo., and also plan to visit friends in Palisade, Pali-sade, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Fran Martin of Portland, Ore., formerly of Springville, Spring-ville, spent a few days here this week with friends. They also plan to visit his mother at Vernal and with other Utah relatives before returning to their home. Pr. and Mrs. L. E. Ottesen attended at-tended the State Dental convention held at the Ben Lomand hotel in Ogden, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bird have returned from an enjoyable vacation vaca-tion at Grand Junction, Col., where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Lambson. The Lambsons were here for Memorial Day and Mr. and Mrs. Bird accompanied them home. Mr. Lambson's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Lottie Lambson, also accompanied ac-companied them back to Grand Junction and spent several days. Mrs. Louis Johnson and son Fay returned recently from an enjoyable enjoy-able visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Nebel, and also with Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Selck, at Idaho Falls and Salmon, Idaho. Mrs. Nellie Bybee and Mrs. Mary Verl Maycock, both of Springville, were initiated into the Soroptomist club at an annual meeting conducted con-ducted last Wednesday evening at Provo at which new officers were installed. Mrs. Mae Huntington Hunt-ington and Mrs. Agnes Eismann members, also attended the meeting meet-ing from Springville. Mrs. M. W. Fillmore and son Floyd of Tooele, spent the weekend week-end with her mother, Mrs. Mae Huntington and also attended the j tea given Sunday afternoon, for ! Miss Delia Baxter. v Miss Myron Lee Weight spent the past week at Ogden visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Smith with their daughter Linda. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Weight, went to Ogden Sunday' to spend the day and Myrna Lee returned re-turned home with them. Mrs. Norma Miner Hartley and I three sons of Butte, Mont, are spending two weeks with the for- mer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miner. Mrs. Hartley rendered vocal vo-cal solos at the Relief Society program pro-gram on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. George Bird and son, in company with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tolley and son of Wendover, returned recently from an enjoyable enjoy-able ten-day vacation trip. They visited Yellowstone National park and went from there to Butte, Mont., then to Spokane, Wash., Portland, Oreg., and down the coast to San Francisco, Calif., visiting vis-iting also at Lodi, Calif., and traveling trav-eling through Grass Valley. They came home by way of Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bramall and son Lacelle, and Wayne Bramall, spent the week-end on a motor trip to Boulder Dam and through Bryce Canyon and Zion Park. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Law have returned from an enjoyable week's visit in Idaho. They were accompanied accom-panied by Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Law of Salt Lake City and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Law at Po-catello. Po-catello. They also visited at Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, and Aberdeen, aid at other cities in the vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alleman have returned from an enjoyable trip to California, visiting places of interest and also with relatives and friends at Los Angeles, Pomona, Po-mona, Santa Ana and San Diego., |
