Show MAPLETON CLUB ENJOYS FIRST CANYON OUTING The Mapleton Jaycees held their first canyon outing of the season at Palmyra Park, Spanish Fork canyon Sunday, under direction of ; Jack Canto, president. Approximately thirty-five members mem-bers with their wives and children together with a number of friends, joined in the day's fun, visiting and eating. Trap shooting, directed by Bill Cox, was the highlight of the day's entertainment, with prizes going to the winners. A baseball game in the late afternoon was directed by Bernell Jensen, Jaycee team coach, and resulted in much excitement for the kids and adults. Races were under direction of Jack and Norma Canto with all participating, from one year to the oldest member attending. Balloons Bal-loons were given as prizes. Horseshoe Horse-shoe pitching was also an enjoyable enjoy-able sport. The entire day's program was concluded with a sumptuous dinner. |
