Show I By Frances Ainsworth jfS MX HOLLAND g-CiJlM.... VACUUM 1 FUKMACE CLANta J Spring cleaning can hardly be called complete unless the home also has its furnace cleaned. The purpose of housecleaning is, of course, to remove the winter's accumulation ac-cumulation of dust and dirt, and that's the purpose of furnace cleaning, clean-ing, too. Rather than try to do the job yourself, you will find it much to your advantage to let someone in that business do the work for you. It will be done quicker and with less muss, as well as far more thoroughly. But be sure that the one ' you give the job to has the right equipment and is experienced in the work. To remove all the soot and fly ash and dust from the entire en-tire furnace system, there is a special high - powered vacuum cleaner designed for the purpose. All the dirt is sucked out and blown into a huge bag, which is then taken away and dumped. The equipment is expensive, and therefore there-fore you will not' find many who have it, all the others using smaller and less effective machines. One of the leading furnace companies makes a special business of this power cleaning, and it probably has one of its many factory branches in your locality. Entirely aside from the house-cleaning house-cleaning motive, your furnace should be cleaned at the close of its winter's use so that it will be in good condition throughout the summer. A dirty, soot-laden furnace fur-nace attracts rust and corrosion. Then you will have your furnace all ready for efficient operation next Fall, but if you wait until that time, you probably will find the furnace people much too busv to accommodate you. |
