Show 4-H EXHIBIT TO BE ON DISPLAY AT FAIR GROUNDS A colorful 4-H club exhibit will be on display during the first eight weeks of the centennial fair at Salt Lake fairgrounds, state 4-H club leader, David Sharp Jr., announced, an-nounced, today. The 4-H display which opened Monday included sections on clothing, cloth-ing, canning, home improvement, diarying, gardening, camping and club members enlarged to almost health. Colored photographs of life size formed the background of the exhibits. Ten guide posts of 4-H club work are highlighted. The bulk of this exhibit has been brought to Utah for the Centennial by the National Extension Service in Washington, D. C. Utah 4-H entries supplement the Washing-ington Washing-ington display, Mr. Sharp said. Utah club members in uniform will be in attendance at the fairgrounds 4-H exhibition building to explain the, display and club work in the state. The final week of the Centennial Cen-tennial fair, Sept. 15 to 21, has been designed as 4-H competitive week, Mr. Sharp reported. Exhibits from counties on all 4-H 4-H club projects will be placed on display. Articles selected for the state exhibit of that week will be winners in county displays. On Sept. 15 and 16, club members mem-bers will participate in demonstrations demonstra-tions of dress reviews and other such contests, he said. Winners will receive awards the night of the sixteenth. |
