Show TOWN IN WEST HONORS QUINTS i Fairbury, Neb., turned out almost al-most 100 percent this week to celebrate cel-ebrate the first public appearance of its quintuplets, now 4 months old. With a brass band playing, the quints paraded down Main street. The Fairbury quints are calves, and their names are United States, Russia, England, China and France. Each wore a white blanket blan-ket with his name on it. France is the only heifer in the group. The quints are the offspring of a Shorthorn cow and a Hereford bull. When born, they weighed less than 200 pounds in all, and they were weaned on a diet of oatmeal and mixed feed. |
