Show FAREWELL PROGRAM ARRANGED FOR MR., MRS. S. J. BOYER Bishop and Mrs. Selvoy J. Boy-er Boy-er of the Second ward, who will leave May 7th for the British mission of which Bishop Boyer will be president, will be honored at a farewell testimonial program and social arranged by the Second Sec-ond ward for Tuesday, April 30, at 7:30 p. m., in the ward chapel and amusement hall. An invitation invita-tion is extended to all members of the Second ward and to other friends of the guests of honor. The program in the chapel will open with community singing led by Dr. L. E. Ottesen and followed by prayer by Earl Sumsion. The incoming bishop will be welcomed and will respond with a short talk. Mrs. Lula Garner will entertain with a voca solo, followed by a tribute by Mrs. Blanch Beal. 1 Alvin Gittens, a British student at the B. Y. U., will give a vocal solo and a tribute to Bishop and Mrs. Boyer will be. given by President Pres-ident E. A. Strong. ' The guests of honor will be presented pre-sented with gifts of appreciation and Bishop and Mrs. Boyer will respond. The chapel program will be concluded with an organ solo by Mrs. Mary S. Boyer. Later, the group will assemble in the amusement hall where the program will be under direction of Leo Crandall. Community singing will be led by Mrs. Ellen Anderson, with Miss Alzada Wil-mott Wil-mott accompanist. The Sunday School -ill present a skit, followed by a violin solo by Gordon Childs, and the Mutual will also present a skit. Norma Brockbank will give a piano solo, followed by a skit from the Primary. Pri-mary. The Boyer family will furnish fur-nish music and the entertainment will be concluded with prayer. |
