Show GIFT PROJECT INITIATED BY M-MEN, GLEANERS An October project of sending Christmas gifts to young members mem-bers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Europe is being instituted this year among 25,000 M Men and Gleaner Girls of the Young Men's and Young Women's Mutual Improvement Ass'ns., general officers announced Saturday. The young men and women here will be asked to bring needed articles of food or other supplies to M I A meetings, where they will be packed and shipped according accord-ing to instructions provided by the church welfare committee. All shipments are to be made by Oct. 15 in order to reach recipients re-cipients by Christmas. Suggested articles include soap, needles,, thread, yardage goods, canned fats, meat or fish, sugar, rice, dried beans or peas, chocolate bars and hard candy. It is asked that all except the needles, thread and yardage be in cans. Missions to which the packages will be sent for distribution include the British, Czechoslovak, Danish, east German, Finnish, French, Netherlands, Norwegian, Swedish, Swiss-Austrian and west German. |
