Show I (Paragraphs Of) ! Interest " j Mrs. F. W. Ramser of Cleveland, Ohio, is visiting here for a short time with her daughter, Mrs. H. E. Willis, and family, No. Main street. Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bird have returned from a several weeks' vacation trip to Arizona and California. Cali-fornia. Fred Childs arrived in Springville Spring-ville last Friday from Hawthorne, Calif., to spend a few days with his mother, Mrs. Belle Childs, and other relatives and friends here. Dr. and Mrs. Nephi Packard visited vis-ited their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Johnson, here, '. last week. Dr. and Mrs. Packard, former residents of Springville, were enroute from their home in Ogden to spend a few days visiting visit-ing relatives and friends in California Cali-fornia Mrs. Beulah Whiting has just returned from an enjoyable two-months' two-months' trip to Waltham, Mass., 1 where she visited her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert L. Springmeyer and family, and many places of interest in the East. One of the highlights of her trip was a visit to the studio of the artist, Miss Marguerite Pearson, who is represented in the Springville high school art collec- tion, and who is a also a consistent exhibitor in the April shows, in her Rockport, Mass., home. Miss Pearson plans to : exhibit here again this year and asked Mrs. Whiting to suggest which pictures should be sent. Mrs. Whiting also visited at the home of the artist, Anthony Thieme, and spent a day at Plymouth Rock, Mass. She also spent some time with the son of Cyrus E. Dallin who resides just across the street from the Cyrus E. Dallin home at Arlington. She was especially interested in the Henry Ford collection of antiques at the Wayside Inn at Sudbury, Mass., the home of Longfellow, and which now covers 5,000 acres replete with historical relics. Among other places of special interest in-terest she visited was the Ware collection of glass models of plants at the Botanical Museum at Harvard Harv-ard University, which is reported to be the only exhibit of its kind in the world. Mrs. Whiting also had the pleasure of visiting the Cambridge branch of the L. D. S. church and attending the various auxiliary meetings, and she also met the presiding branch officials while visiting in the East. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cherrington are spending a few days' vacation in Mesa, Arizona, with the parents of Mrs. Cherrington and other relatives rel-atives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Richard .Huntington .Hunting-ton and daughters, Dickie Jane and Luella, recently returned from Caliente, Nev., where they visited another daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. EIRay Fehr and son. |
