Show Uaycee Wives Install New Heads At Dinner "School Days" was the clever theme employed by Jaycee Wives when they held their husband-wives husband-wives dinner party Wednesday evening- at China City in Provo, to install new officers of the club. As the members and guests were called to dinner by the ring ing of a school bell, they found artistically arranged at each place a minature black slate with the past year's activities inscribed inside in-side and tiny little dunce caps to be worn by each one present. Mrs. Fred Wise was toastmaster and over fifty club members and guests responded to the fine program pro-gram marking the occasion. Marie Mar-ie Fullmer entertained with, two piano selections; Lois Rasmussen gave readings and Joe and Jean Smith rendered vocal duets, accompanied ac-companied by Cora Gardner. In behalf of the club, Mrs. Robert Rob-ert L. Parker presented a gift to the retiring president, Mrs. A. H. Mortensen and Mrs. Mortensen in turn installed Mrs. Catherine Johnson as the new president presenting pre-senting her with the insignia of that office. Other officers installed during the evening included, Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Roberts, vice-president; Mrs. Steve Miller, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. Mays Anderson is the holdover hold-over director; Mrs. Fred Wise, 2-year 2-year director and Mrs. Earl Mc-Kenzie, Mc-Kenzie, one-year director. Mrs. Mortensen also automatically takes over as a director. A note worthy feature of the evening was the presence of all of the past presidents of the Jaycee Wives including in the order in which they served, Mrs. Ray Klauck, Mrs. Ernest Boyer, Mrs. Bill Ostlund, Mrs. Lee Miner, and Mrs. A. H Mortensen. In charge of arrangements for the installation party were Mrs. Fred Wise, chairman, assisted by the retiring and the new president. |
