Show Services Held On Tuesday For Accident Victim The Second ward chapel was filled fil-led Tuesday afternoon, when funeral fun-eral services were conducted for Fred Dean Hansen, 19, victim of a train-car accident early Saturday. Young Hansen was the son of Mrs. Frank Taylor and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Smith of this city. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, ce-metery, under direction of A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary. The accident occured at the crossing at 10th South and Main street, when an automobile on which Hanson was riding, was struck by a Rio Grande railroad Streamliner at 6:55 a.m. The car was driven by Thomas Reese Anderson, An-derson, 76, also of Springville, who escaped with scalp lacerations, a bruised shoulder and severe shock, requiring emergency treatment at the Utah .Valley Hospital. The young man was thrown approximately ap-proximately a hundred feet from the point of impact and the car, hit on the rear portion, was dragged drag-ged about 174 feet, investigating officers reported. Fred Dean Hanson was born July 29, 1930, in Salt Lake City, the son of Fredrick Henry and Maybell Smith Hanson. Both his parents survive him. Hia mother remarried, and he is survived also by his step-father, Frank Taylor of Springville; three step-brothers, Frank A., Robert N. and Cal T. Taylor, all of Springville, and a step-sister, Bonnie Lee Hooben of Pleasant Grove. Also surviving are his grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Smith of Springville, with whom he made his home. Young Hanson was graduated from Springville high school in 1948 and attended BYU last year.
