Show . Lincoln School Faculty Initiates Better Guidance Program In School Monday afternoon the Lincoln school faculty met with W. W. Brockbank, Nebo District Supervisor, Super-visor, to discuss new trends and philosophy relevant to a better guidance program in the elementary elemen-tary schools. It is felt that a more systematic, accurate record should be kept of each student pertaining not only to his academic achievement, but to his social, emotional and personality per-sonality development. "More failures fail-ures in life occur from lack of social so-cial or personality adjustment than from academic failure," it was pointed out. Close contact and cooperation between teacher, parent and community com-munity will be required. - As one step toward accomplishing accomplish-ing these objectives the Lincoln faculty is reading and discussing Wood and Haefner's book: Measuring Meas-uring and Guiding Individual Growth and The Child from Five to Ten by Geitzel each Monday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. They extend ex-tend a cordial invitation to all parents and members of the community com-munity to attend. |
