Show Program Saturday To Mark Springville's 99th Birthday i The 99th anniversary of the settlement of Springville Spring-ville will be observed Saturday, September 17, with a program at the City. To include appropriate music and short talks, the program will be under direction of Mrs. Mary Smart, captain of the central organization or-ganization of DUP camps, who is being assisted by officers of each camp organization. The program outlined for the occasion is as follows: Music, by the high school band, directed by Harmon L. Hatch; community singing, led by Mrs. Nell Condie; prayer; remarks, Mayor Sterling E. Price; vocal duet, "Springville," words by the late Dr. Fred Dunn, Melba Wheeler and Vera Zobell; reading, .Mrs. Lois Tippetts Ras-mussen; Ras-mussen; tribute to the Pioneers, Elmer Bird of Mapleton; vocal duet, "Springville," written by Mrs. Clara Boyer to be sung by Melba Wheeler and Vera Zobell. |
