Show Springville To Play PL Grove Sunday The next home game of the Central Utah baseball league for the Springville team will be played here Sunday, May 16, beginning at 3pm Opposition will be furnished by the talented club from Pleasant Grove. I This year's club is being man-aged man-aged by Bill King and promises to be one of the leading teams in the league. King, besides being manager, man-ager, plays third base. Workouts have been going forward for-ward by team members for the past few weeks in preparation for the second, game Sunday. The 1 team roster has been completed with the following men listed: Bill .King, third base; George Pehrson, ' catcher; Erwin Haws, Glen Clark, pitchers; Lentz Crandall. second I base; Cecil Stanger, outfield; Paul: Hanson, first base; Reed Clements. ' i short stop; Dick Jarvis, utility; Guy Bird, outfield; Kent Miner, outfield; Jack Jones, outfielder; Norman Clyde, infielder; Jimmie Thorn, outfielder; and Jimmy Fullmer, Full-mer, outfielder. The next game the Springville team will play, will be at Heber on Wednesday, May 19. Teams comprising fhe northern half of the league include Provo, Pleasant Grove, Springville, Heber and American Fork. |
