Show PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON CITY BUDGET A public hearing on the proposed propos-ed city budget for the coming year will be held at 7 p. m. Monday, December 29, at the city hall, it was decided at a meeting of the council this week. The tentative budget outlined, exclusive of expenditures on the new project now underway to increase in-crease electric power and water facilities, is based on an 18-mill tax levy, with total receipts estimated at $107,553.88. The proposed budget is to be divided as follows: General fund, $26,252; state gasoline tax, $3,-776.88; $3,-776.88; streets and walks, $4,550; waterworks, $8,325; irrigation, $2,-200; $2,-200; electric light, $29,335; library maintenance, $3,002; bond interest fund, $4,080; waterworks bond sinking fund, $8,000; abutters' portion por-tion paving district No. 2, $1,537; sewer fund, $12,486; interest on new bonds, $4,000. |
