Show HEALTH REPORT SHOWS FEWER DISEASE CASES Local health officers reported a total of 125 cases of communicable diseases for the week ending Oct. 15. This is ten cases fewer than were reported for the previous week and is the smallest number reported for a weekly period during dur-ing 1943. For the first time syphillis heads the list, with a total of 26 cases, there were also ten cases of gonorrhea gon-orrhea reported for the week. The number of new cases of poliomyelitis continued to decline. A total of ten cases was reported for the week as compared with 25 for the previous week. The distribution distri-bution of the cases is as follows: Salt Lake City, 4; Tooele county, 3; Uintah county, 1; Provo City, 1, and Utah county, 1. A total of three cases of measles is unusually low for this time of year. |
