Show 'SUSANNA BOYER SERVICES HELD ON SUNDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Susanna Su-sanna Jarrett Boyer, wife of John S. Boyer, a former city mayor, were held Sunday in the Second ward chapel under the direction of Dr. L. E. Ottesen of the bishopric. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery under the direction of the A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary. Mortu-ary. Mrs. Boyer died Thursday at the family residence following a long illness. She was born in Long-ham, Long-ham, England, May 16, 1868, a daughter of Arthur and Margaret Bailey Jarrett. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Latter-Day Saints in April, 1885, and in October, 1888, emigrated to Utah. She was married May 1, 1889, in the Manti temple. Mrs. Boyer had been active in church work since coming to this state and had served in practically practical-ly all of the auxiliary organizations. organiza-tions. She was a charter member of the D. U. P. Camp Aaron Johnson. John-son. Survivors, besides her husband, include eight sons and daughters: Mrs. Margaret Chloe Fox, Bishop Selvoy J. Boyer and Mayrie Boyer, Boy-er, Springville; Mrs. Mildred Jar-vis, Jar-vis, Mesa Arizona; Mrs. Catherine Buchanan, Venice, Utah; Mrs. Ju Ne McCarthy, San Francisco, California; forty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, i Mrs. Matilda Hall, Mrs. Alice Snowden, Mrs. Etta Bear, George, John, William, Wil-liam, and Robert Jarrett, all in' England. |
