Show WOMEN NEEDED AT LOCAL RED CROSS ROOM Surgical Dressings Quota For Springville Has Been Increased Another call has been sent out from the Red Cross rooms by those in charge of the surgical dressings, for more help in this work. The attendance has been falling off to an alarming extent, and as the quota for this county has been increased, in-creased, including our city, it will be necessary for more ladies to come out and help in this unquestionably unques-tionably vital assistance to the war effort. If all the ladies of the community could give but a few hours of their time each week, this community could fulfill its obligations. obliga-tions. We should not have to be urged to help with this work, if we would but realize how important these dressings are in the saving of our boys' lives, as it has been stressed that there is never enough of them. The few hours that we can spare may be an important j factor in saving the life of some man who is risking his life tn ' fight for our smug contentment in these United States. The Red Cross rooms are well lighted and comfortable, and are open for work from two to five o'clock each afternoon, and from seven to nine o'clock each evening, with the exception of Saturdays and Sundays. There are always present during these hours, a supervisor, su-pervisor, an instructor, and a tier, who are in charge of the work. Tuesday evening Lois Clegg, Mrs. Hugh Baxter, Carrie Tripp. Wednesday afternoon Grace Baker, Mrs. George Beebe, Mrs. LaPreal Friel. Wednesday even ing Amy Klauck, Ada Kraus, Marjorie Bird. Thursday afternoon Ethel Weight, Esther Johnson, Maude Peterson. Thursday evening Nellie Burt, Mrs. G. Ray Hales, Maggie Wood. Friday afternoon Elizabeth Salisbury, Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen, Lela Nelson. Friday evening Mrs. Clarence Erdmann, Mrs. Grant Whitehead, Alice Ence. All ladies' clubs or other organizations orga-nizations are welcome to come at any time, and the presidents of these same are asked to urge their members to donate a little of their time to this needy cause. |
