Show A SOCIAL HIGHLIGHT OF THIS WEEK was the party given by the Kolob stake Primary board in honor of retiring members, on Friday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Marie Whiting. Lunch was served early and an attractive Hallowe'en motif was employed in table and room decorations. deco-rations. During lunch, tributes were paid the guests of honor, and each one responded. William Wain-wright, Wain-wright, high council advisor, gave a toast to the retiring and the new officers and he, with Mrs. Wain-wright, Wain-wright, were special guests. Also Mrs. Marie Cranmer gave a toast to the new officers and response was made by Mrs. Jessie AHeman, president of the board, and Mrs. Grace Crandall, second counselor. Mrs. Madge Thorn, first counselor, in behalf of the new board members, mem-bers, presented the retiring officers with a lovely gift of remembrance and appreciation for their services. The remainder of the evening was spent with table games. The retiring guests of honor included, in-cluded, Mrs. Mae Huntington, Mrs. Dorothy Wheeler, Mrs. Nell AHeman, AHe-man, retiring president and counselors; coun-selors; Mrs. Beulah Whiting, retiring re-tiring secretary, and Mrs. Inez Bird, Mrs. Minnie Richards, Mrs. Gladys Boyer, and Mrs. Lola Weight, class leaders. |
