Show LOCAL JAYCEES ATTEND MEET AT SALINA MONDAY Several local Junior Chamber of Commerce members and their wives went to Salina Monday evening eve-ning to stimulate interest in Junior Chamber work. The group attended a membership member-ship luncheon and program sponsored spon-sored by the Salina group and visiting officials gave short talks on the importance of Junior Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce activities in every ev-ery community. . Attending from Springville were Grant Thorn, vice-president, of the state Jaycee organization and Mrs. Thorn; Kay Johnson, president of the local Junior Chamber, and Mrs. Johnson; Ray Richards, immediate past-president of the state Chamber, Cham-ber, and Mrs. Richards. Also Jay Brockbank state president, and other officials were in attendance at the meeting. President Johnson announces the meetings for the coming week, November 4, when Fred Markham of Provo, Utah County Planning and Zoning chairman, will speak. In behalf of the local Junior Chamber of Commerce, President Johnson is also urging that citizens of Springville go to the polls next Tuesday and vote for their city officers. , |
