Show WOMEN'S CLUBS TO SPONSOR BOND SALES NOVEMBER 1-6 The federated women's clubs of the state and throughout the country coun-try are sponsoring the sale of war bonds during the week of November Novem-ber 1 to 6, and are seeking cooperation coopera-tion of townspeople in the drive. Clubs of the First district, with Which Springville is affiliated, have been asked to sell $75,000 in bonds during the week. This amount will purchase a fighting plane and with each district doing their bit, a large number of fighting fight-ing planes may be sent into combat duty . Mrs. C. G. Salisbury is chairman of the drive in Springville and announces an-nounces that during the week club members will be at the local show houses to accommodate those wishing wish-ing to purchase either bonds or stamps. The amount of bonds and stamps purchased during the week will be credited to the women's clubs organizations or-ganizations of the city and an ur-. gent request is being made to everyone to make a special effort during the period to buy an extra bond or complete a stamp book and turn it into a bond at this time. Several of the club organizations have voted to purchase a bond to be credited to this drive and a number of individual club members will also purchase special bonds during the week, it is stated. |
