Show SCOUT PRESIDENT TO SPEAK AT K1WANIS MEET Training' School For Club Officers To Be Dec. 10, In Salt Lake Dr. G. M. Jones, Provo dentist newly-elected president of the Utah Parks Council Boy Scouts of America, will be the guest speaker at Kiwanis this evening, announces Clarence L. Jensen, secretary. President W. W. Brock-bank Brock-bank will be in charge of the meeting, with V. C. Mendenhall, toastmaster. Scouting will be the theme of the program and members of the Kolob district Scout Council are being invited as special guests of the club. These members include, V. C. Mendenhall, chairman; Wil-ford Wil-ford Manwaring, Clifford Cran-dall, Cran-dall, Freeman Bird, Fred Averett, Dr. C. A. King, Harry Pennington Penning-ton and Myron Childs. A musical program is being arranged ar-ranged for the evening, with Boy Scouts participating. Announcement is also made of the Kiwanis district training school for officers of the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho district being held at the Utah Hotel, Salt Lake City, on Dec. 9. The following day, Dec. 10, a training school for local officers of-ficers will be conducted and the Springville club will be represented represent-ed at the latter, by two or three members of the local board. At a recent meeting- of the club board of directors, plans ' were made for the annual installation of new officers and the date was set for Thursday, Jan. 11th. A chairman was named to act with executive officers of the club in selecting committee chairman for the year. Standing committees will be selected and announced at the installation meeting. |
